November 2026
A month to be thankful for our dance family!
November is here, and we are thankful for every dancer and family who makes Jan’s such a special place! Thank you for making time for dance, encouraging your dancers, and sharing Season 68 with us. This month brings our first holiday parade practices and a Thanksgiving break. Read on for reminders and dates to keep handy!

Bring-A-Friend Week
Thank you to everyone who shared their love of dance with a friend during our Bring A Friend event last month. Congratulations to Sereia, Ava, and Elena who each won a pair of teddy bears to share with their friends 🧸
Fall Festival Winners
One more round of applause for our October Fall Festival performers! Lucy’s Old Time Rock N Roll tap solo placed 3rd, and our Mission Impossible tap group placed 1st! Congratulations Lucy, Harper, Hattie, Fallon, and Emma, and thank you to Miss Lesley for choreographing both routines!
Thanksgiving Break — November 25–27
The studio will be closed November 25–27 for Thanksgiving. Enjoy the time with your family! You can find all of our important dates at jsdevansville.com/calendar.
Costume Planning Is Underway
Measuring for costumes is underway and our teachers have picked their costumes for the recital! Hint: check the portal for pictures 😄
A Little Dress Code Reminder
The right dancewear helps teachers see alignment and give corrections, and secured hair keeps dancers’ faces clear during class. Please check your dancer’s class requirements in the full dress code at jsdevansville.com/dresscode. Thank you for helping your dancer come prepared!
