A new season, familiar faces, and new dance friends!

September brought our dancers back to the studio for Season 68! To our returning families, thank you for spending another year with us. To our new families, welcome to Jan’s—we’re so glad you’re here! The first weeks of class are an important time for learning technique, building foundational skills, and getting comfortable with teachers and classmates. Thank you for helping your dancers arrive ready to learn and for making dance part of your family’s week.

Fall Festival Winners

Congratulations to Lucy, Harper, Hattie, Fallon, and Emma for entering the Fall Festival Amateur Hour last week! Lucy's Old Time Rock N Roll tap solo placed 3rd and our Mission Impossible tap group placed 1st! Also big shout out to Miss Lesley for choreoraphing both routines!

Fall Break - October 12–16

The studio is closed October 12–16 for Fall Break. Enjoy the time with your family—we look forward to seeing everyone back after the break!

Costume Planning Is Underway

Costume measuring was taking place throughout September as we began preparing for recital costumes. There’s a lot happening behind the scenes as teachers are planning their themes and costume visions!

A Little Dress Code Reminder

Having the right dancewear helps teachers see alignment and give corrections, while secured hair keeps dancers’ faces clear during class. For ballet, jazz, and tap, please remember pink tights, pink proper shoes, and a secure bun. You can find the full dress code at jsdevansville.com/dresscode. Thank you for helping your dancer come prepared!
