✨ Dance Teacher

Jan’s School of Dance is growing, and we’re looking for passionate, reliable, and experienced dance instructors to join our team! We are a well-established, family-oriented studio dedicated to creating a positive, encouraging environment where dancers can grow in confidence, technique, and artistry.

Position Overview

We are seeking dance teachers for a variety of styles, levels, and age groups—from preschool recreational classes to competitive team choreography.

Responsibilities

• Teach weekly dance classes in your area(s) of expertise

• Create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and choreography

• Foster a positive, structured, and encouraging classroom environment

• Prepare students for performances, including recital and (if applicable) competitions

• Communicate professionally with staff, students, and families

• Arrive on time and be prepared for each class

Qualifications

• Strong background in dance (formal training required; teaching experience preferred)

• Experience working with children (especially ages 3–18)

• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills

• Ability to manage a classroom effectively

• Passion for developing young dancers

Preferred (but not required)

• Experience with competitive dance choreography

• Versatility in multiple styles (Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Acro, etc.)

• Previous studio teaching experience
